In2cricket Program (Formally Milo)

Woodend Cricket Club Inc

The Woodend Cricket Club would like to take this opportunity to thank you and your family for your interest in our In2cricket program (formerly MILO Have-A-Go)

Established in 1861 the club has a strong tradition and close links to the community. This season the club has 6 junior teams, 4 senior teams as well as providing opportunities for those starting out with the In2cricket program.

In2cricket program is an exciting introductory cricket program for children between 5 and 8 years of age. The aim of the program is to provide young people with a fun and enjoyable way of learning the fundamentals of cricket while, at the same time, promoting the values of the game—teamwork, friendship and fair play.

Sessions will take place on Thursday nights at 5.30pm - 6.30 pm beginning on Thursday November 5th and finishing on February 25th 2010 at the Gilbert Gordon oval with a break over Christmas.

As with all programs of this nature, its success depends heavily on the support of parents
and volunteers. In2cricket program provides many opportunities for adults to become involved in the delivery of the program. Volunteers do not require any specific skills or qualifications, just a love of the game and a willingness to assist young people to play and stay active.

Throughout the season the club runs a range of social events as well as providing family meals most Saturday nights. We invite you to make full use of the facilities.

Thank you for your support and once again welcome to the Woodend Cricket Club.

Yours sincerely

Deb Chew & Leanne Hume
